25 декабря в 12.00 в наш город прибывают Дед Мороз и Снегурочка со своей новогодней свитой. Первые лица города,  представители администрации, а также дети и творческие коллективы встретят их на площади им. Гарина-Михайловского. Во время торжественной встречи мэр Новосибирска Владимир Городецкий передаст Деду Морозу символический ключ от города для управления новогодними праздничными днями.

С 12.30 до 15.30 праздничный кортеж проедет по городу и посетит открытия районных елок и снежных городков. Дед Мороз побывает в Павловском сквере Калининского района, на площади им. Пименова Октябрьского района, в ПКиО «Березовая роща» в Дзержинском районе, а также на площадке у Новосибирского государственного цирка в Железнодорожном районе. Деда Мороза и его свиту встретят представители администраций районов, жители города и творческие коллективы. После этого Дед Мороз отправится в свою резиденцию, расположенную в Новосибирском цирке. Там он проведет праздничные дни, приветствуя жителей города и управляя течением новогодних дней.

Резиденция Деда Мороза в цирке будет открыта для горожан с 25 декабря по 10 января. Здесь будут организованы интерактивные программы, выставка лучших работ конкурса «Снежная фантазия». В течение двух с половиной недель в Новосибирском цирке будут также проводиться новогодние представления. Перед каждым из них Дед Мороз будет принимать гостей.

30 декабря в 14.00 на набережной реки Обь состоится открытие ледового городка. В этом году его тематика – «Ледниковый период». Городок будет работать до марта 2010 года. Все праздничные дни здесь будут проходить развлекательные программы с участием новогодних персонажей.

31 декабря в 16.00 по уже сложившейся традиции в ПКиО «Центральный» откроются центральная городская елка и снежный городок. С поздравлениями выступят официальные лица города и области. Гостей праздника ждут уличное театрализованное представление под девизом: «Чудеса в новогоднем городе».

4 января в 12.00 в ПКиО «Центральный» состоится Шестой городской фестиваль снежных баб. Развлекательная программа разработана в двух направлениях: резка снежных скульптур (работа команд по утвержденным заранее эскизам) и лепка снежных фигур (творчество всех желающих – как в командном, так и в личном исполнении). Сувениры от Деда Мороза получат все участники фестиваля. Победителям – особые призы.

10 января в 15.00 у Новосибирского государственного цирка будет организована интерактивная программа «Проводы Деда Мороза» с музыкой, песнями и играми.
